Full circle for Israel/Jews? From being victims of slaughter to now being the slaughterers (new word) . An estimated 17,000 now dead (6000 children) ...as the world watches. With indifferent folks like myself raising eyebrows can you imagine their neighbors? What happens to Israel if USA is ever weakened to the point it cant have Isreal's back anymore ? The Biblical concept of Israel being God's "chosen" people is not that they are chosen for salvation necessarily, nor that they are "hand picked by God, better than other humans." It only means that God chose Israel to be the ethnic line of people through which the Messiah would come, and would provide salvation for both Jews and non-Jews (Gentiles).
This is clearly elucidated in Romans 9:1-8.

The US didn't ask permission before it nuked the japanese nor should they have asked for permission. Did the allied forces ask permission to bomb Dresdin and kill how many civilians? The Israelis have every right to destroy every last member of hamas. Elections have consequences. The people in gaza elected hamas and cheered when hamas attacked Israel.
